liquivida iv vitamin drips graphicShore Wellness and Med Spa is excited to announce an expansion of our services. In-office IV Nutrient Therapy appointments are now available. To schedule an appointment call (443) 365-4451. This contact number is dedicated to IV Nutrient Therapy questions and scheduling.

IV Nutrient Therapy is the administration of vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients directly into the bloodstream, making it a far more effective delivery method than oral supplementation, which relies on the gastrointestinal system, or gut, for absorption. Unfortunately, not all of the nutrients are absorbed. The health of our gut plays a huge role in nutrient absorption. If your gut is not functioning well, you lose even more of the benefits of oral supplementation. IV Nutrient Therapy bypasses the gut, so you can absorb 20 times more nutrients than taking a pill.  Often, this bypass allows you to feel better, faster.

Conditions that may benefit from IV nutrient therapy:

  • Chronic fatigue/Depression
  • Lack of energy
  • Dehydration
  • Immune Support for acute cold/viral
  • Headaches/Migraines
  • Sinusitis
  • Acute Muscle spasms
  • Athletic performance and recovery
  • Anti-aging/skin
  • Vitamin Deficiencies

When deciding if IV Nutrient Therapy is for you, it may help to consider the fact that hospitals provide such services every day. Patients are given IV drips to rehydrate and replenish fluids. It is a big part of their care plans to aid in healing. IV Nutrient Therapy is merely an alternative application of already-proven tools that are presently in use in hospital settings.

Shore Wellness and Med Spa is a medical setting with qualified medical staff. The process of making an appointment begins with calling (443) 365-4451. This contact number is dedicated to IV Nutrient Therapy questions and scheduling. Our Nurse Practitioner, Colleen Matulaitis, will conduct an interview that helps her understand your medical history and symptoms to make certain you get the treatment that is best suited for your goals. Once an appointment has been scheduled you will be emailed a health history and consent forms to fill out and return. These forms need to be returned prior to your scheduled appointment. A short physical exam will be conducted upon arrival. It will involve taking your vital signs and performing a quick assessment. You will then be made comfortable and Colleen will access a vein to begin the IV. Once the IV is established, the IV Nutrient Therapy can begin. At Shore Wellness and Med Spa, all IV’s and therapy are started and monitored by our highly skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner, Colleen Matulaitis. Colleen has 35 + years of experience as a Registered Nurse in ICU and Labor & Delivery as well as 7 + years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner. Colleen has inserted/secured countless IV’s during her professional career and displays superior proficiency in the skill of IV insertion. Once the IV has been secured and the infusion has started, Colleen will monitor the drip rate, vital signs, and your level of comfort throughout the duration of the infusion. Once the infusion is complete, the IV will be removed and Colleen will re-assess your vital signs and do another short exam. The duration of the process typically takes about 45 to 60 minutes. Each session will be followed up with a phone call or email within 48 hours of treatment to check on your outcome/well-being and answer any questions. Colleen is also available by phone should you have any concerning symptoms, questions or concerns related to your infusion.
